The Couples Blueprint · ancient eastern wisdom, a precise modern engine

So what are you two actually like together?

An ancient eastern tradition reads people as five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. One of you might be mostly Fire. One of you might be mostly Water. We compute the real mix from two birth moments, two energy signatures side by side, and call it your Couples Blueprint. Then we tell you what happens next, minus the jargon.

Birth details are never stored. Guidance for fun and reflection, not prediction.

Every couples quiz you have taken was marking your own homework. This reads two moments neither of you chose. Not a compatibility test. Not a verdict. Eight short, funny chapters on the two of you — your chemistry, the argument you keep having, what to book on a Friday and what to never book again.

See what’s inside ↓

Each of you was born with your own elemental makeup — a particular mix of energies — and chemistry and friction are simply what happens where two makeups meet. Both are computed from your own birth moments, then read together. Made to be read aloud on a sofa, laughed at, and screenshotted.

What’s inside

The eight chapters

The whole contents page, in the order it is written — short enough to get through in one evening, and every chapter drawn from your two charts rather than assembled from a template.

  1. Your Two Natures

Both of you side by side in plain imagery — you’re the one thing, they’re the other — and the one-line summary of what happens when those two meet.

  2. The Chemistry Read

What genuinely sparks between you, and where the friction naturally sits. Honest, warm, and specific enough that you’ll both go “that’s exactly it”.

  3. Your Superpower as a Pair

The thing the two of you are unusually good at together that most couples simply aren’t. Worth knowing. Definitely worth screenshotting.

  4. Your Kryptonite

The argument you will have on repeat until the end of time — named with affection and a straight face — plus one concrete way to defuse it.

  5. Date Night Decoder

The activities, food, places and settings that genuinely suit your particular combination. Specific enough to book from.

  6. Never Book This

The outings and plans that end in a sulk for you two specifically. Funny, and then annoyingly useful the next time one of you suggests it.

  7. Who’s Who

Playful call-outs, one line each: who plans, who pays, who gets lost, who apologises first, who picks the restaurant. Both of you get teased.

  8. The Verdict

A short, shareable summary — a fun scorecard for the two of you — plus one genuinely good piece of advice to take away from the evening.

What it’s for

The four things every couple wants to know

The list above is what’s inside. This is what it’s for. The same eight chapters, sorted by the questions you actually arrived with — what you’re like together, what you’re unusually good at, where you snag, and what to do about Friday night.

Who you are together

What you’re actually like as a pair

Both natures laid out side by side, then read as one thing rather than two — because the interesting part was never either of you on your own. This is the bit you read first, out loud, and then immediately argue about who is which.

  • Your Two Natures

Both of you in plain imagery, and the one-line summary of what happens when those two meet.

  • The Chemistry Read

What genuinely sparks, and where the friction naturally sits — honest, warm and specific.

Read alongside Who’s Who — the same two people, played for laughs.

Guidance for fun and reflection — never a verdict on your relationship.
What you’re great at

The thing you two do better than everyone

Every couple has one. Yours has a name, and it is probably not the one you would have guessed. Plus the running-order of your relationship: who does what, who breaks first, who is quietly carrying the whole operation.

  • Your Superpower as a Pair

The thing the two of you are unusually good at together that most couples simply aren’t.

  • Who’s Who

Who plans, who pays, who gets lost, who apologises first, who picks the restaurant — one line each.

Read alongside The Verdict — the shareable summary of the whole thing.

Both of you get teased, equally and with obvious affection.
Where you snag

The argument you keep having

You know the one. It has a shape, it has a trigger, and it turns up wearing a different coat every few weeks. Named with affection rather than blame, and always with something workable attached — never a warning, never a diagnosis.

  • Your Kryptonite

The argument on repeat, named with affection — plus one concrete way to defuse it.

  • Never Book This

The outings and plans that end in a sulk for you two specifically. Funny, but true and useful.

Read alongside The Chemistry Read — where the friction comes from in the first place.

Friction is always workable. Nobody is called incompatible.
What to actually do

What to book on Friday

The genuinely useful half. What suits your particular combination — the food, the places, the kind of evening that lands for you two rather than for couples in general — and the one piece of advice worth keeping after the laughing stops.

  • Date Night Decoder

The activities, food, places and settings that genuinely suit your combination. Specific enough to book from.

  • The Verdict

A short, shareable scorecard, plus one genuinely good piece of advice for the two of you.

Read alongside Never Book This — the same list, from the other end.

Guidance for fun and reflection. Suggestions, never a guaranteed outcome.

Every chapter is accounted for above — between them, the four themes hold the whole reading. Nothing is kept back for a second purchase, and nothing in the boxes above is padding.

You choose how cheeky it gets

Before it’s written, you set the dial. Same charts, same chapters, same honesty — a different amount of nerve. Pick the one that suits the evening you’re planning.

  • Mild

Warm, funny and completely safe to read out at a family dinner. Teasing stays gentle; every line could be repeated to your mother-in-law without incident.

  • Medium

The default, and the one most people want. Properly funny, a little pointed, the tone of the friend who says the true thing and then makes you both laugh about it.

  • Spicy

Bold, cheeky and unafraid of a direct hit — but never crude, never explicit and never unkind. Spicy turns up the wit, not the cruelty.

Spicy turns up the wit, not the cruelty — the guardrails below apply at every setting.

How the reading treats the two of you

This is a reading about your relationship, so the voice it is written in is held to rules of its own. These are properties of the product, not promises about it.

  • It never says you’re doomed

The reading will not tell you that you are incompatible, badly matched, or heading anywhere in particular. There are no odds, no compatibility score and no verdict on the relationship. That is a rule in how it is written, not a promise about it.

  • It never takes a side

No one is cast as the problem. If it teases one of you, it teases the other just as hard, and always with obvious affection. You should both finish it laughing.

  • Cheeky, never cruel

Nothing about appearance, nothing crude, nothing degrading. Even at the spiciest setting it is bold rather than explicit — the tone is a good friend, not a roast.

  • Aliases or first names only

No real names are needed for either of you. Both birth moments are used to compute the two charts and are then discarded — they are never stored.

Eight chapters, two people, one very good evening.

A look inside

How a Couples Blueprint actually reads

Funny, but never at anyone’s expense — and specific enough that you’ll both look up halfway through and say “okay, that’s us”.

A sample of the writing style · medium spice

“One of you is a bonfire and one of you is a lighthouse. The bonfire is glorious, warm, slightly unpredictable and occasionally sets fire to the plan. The lighthouse does not move, does not hurry, and has been quietly pointing at the same thing for years. This is not a mismatch. It is the entire reason the two of you work.

Your repeat argument is not about the dishes, the money or the in-laws. It is about timing, and it always has been. One of you decides in about four seconds and wants to go now; the other needs to walk around the decision twice before touching it. Every version of this fight is the same fight in a new coat. The defuse is almost insultingly simple: whoever is being hurried gets to name the hour, and whoever is waiting gets to name the day.

Never book: a surprise weekend away with no itinerary. One of you will find it romantic and one of you will spend the entire train journey pretending to be fine. Do book: anything with a start time, a menu and a walk afterwards. Who apologises first? You do — and you know it. Who is genuinely, quietly funnier? Also settled in the reading, and one of you is going to be smug about it.”

Written in the LifeLight couples voice to show you the tone and the level of detail. It is not an excerpt from anyone’s reading — every Couples Blueprint is written from that pair’s own charts, so yours will say something different.

How it works

A few minutes of input. An evening you’ll both remember.

No questionnaire, no quiz about how you feel about each other. Only the one detail about each of you that cannot be embellished.

I

Add the two of you

Date, time and place of birth for each. Aliases or first names only — no real names needed. Don’t know a birth time? We read what we can and say plainly what’s affected.

II

Set the spice dial

Mild, medium or spicy — you decide how cheeky the writing gets. A deterministic engine works out the elemental energies present when each of you was born, then reads the two makeups against each other — where they feed one another, where they rub. Birth details are discarded afterwards and never stored.

III

Read it out loud

Eight short chapters arrive in plain English within minutes. Put it on the sofa between you, take turns reading, and argue about who is which. Yours to keep.

The difference

A category of its own

There is no shelf this sits on. The Couples Blueprint is produced by a proprietary engine drawing on a combination of ancient eastern traditions — reading the elemental energies present at the exact moment each of you arrived, and what happens where those two makeups meet. That meeting is the whole reading: what you call chemistry is one set of energies feeding the other, and what you call friction is the same mechanism working the other way. Then it translates all of it out of its original technical language into clear, funny English you can read to each other.

Computed, not guessed

A deterministic engine does the arithmetic for both of you. The same birth moment always produces the same chart — nothing is improvised, and nothing is bent to flatter either of you.

A pair, not two readings

The space between you is the point. Each person is computed on their own exact moment, then read together — which is how a reading can say something about the two of you rather than about each of you.

Written to be read aloud

Short, punchy chapters, built for a sofa and a bottle of something. This is an activity you do together, not a document you file away.

Demystified, and readable

The traditions it draws on carry centuries of technical language. None of it reaches you. What arrives is plain English you can read straight through in one evening.

What it isn’t: fortune-telling, a prediction of events, a compatibility score, relationship counselling, or a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. It is guidance for fun and reflection — you two remain the authors of your own decisions.

Give one

The anniversary present that becomes the evening

A Couples Blueprint is a rare thing to give: entirely personal, impossible to duplicate, and nothing to dust. You buy it — they open it and enter both sets of details themselves, so you never have to ask anyone for a birth time or guess at one. The code is valid for a year, so it can wait for the right evening.

Good for an anniversary, for Valentine’s, for the couple who insist they don’t want anything, or for the friends who will absolutely read it out at the table.

The price

$9.99 once. Cheaper than the date it improves.

One payment, one evening’s entertainment, and something you’ll still be quoting at each other months later.

Never a subscription and nothing to cancel. No chapter is held back for a second purchase, and the reading is yours to keep — go back to it on the next anniversary, or the next time one of you suggests a surprise weekend away.

Who this isn’t for

If you want a compatibility score, we don’t produce one, and we won’t. Eight chapters on what the two of you are actually like and how your energies weave. No number at the end.

Good to know

Questions, answered honestly

Do we both need to be there to buy it?

No. One of you can order it on your own, as long as you have both sets of birth details — plenty of people do exactly that and then produce it at dinner. It is written to be read together, so the fun version is opening it side by side, but nothing about the purchase requires two people in the room.

Do I need their exact birth time?

No. The hour sharpens certain details, so where it is missing for one of you we read everything we can from the date and place and tell you clearly which parts are affected — rather than quietly filling the gap. A reading with one unknown time is still a full reading.

What if we’re new, or not that serious yet?

Perfect, honestly. This is a date-night activity rather than a relationship audit — it works just as well three dates in as it does on a tenth anniversary. It describes what the two of you are like together, which is an interesting question whether you have been around for a decade or a fortnight.

Is it going to say something hurtful?

No. The way this reading is written is held to hard rules: it never tells a couple they are doomed or incompatible, it never takes a side, and if it teases one of you it teases the other just as hard. There is no compatibility score and no verdict on your relationship. Nothing about appearance, nothing crude, nothing unkind — even at the spiciest setting it is bold rather than explicit. And you set that dial yourself.

Can I give this as a gift?

Yes — gift a Couples Blueprint. You buy it, they open it: the recipient enters both sets of details themselves, so you never need to know or ask for them. Codes are valid for a year and opened once, and you can choose the day it arrives.

What about refunds?

Each Blueprint is generated for you personally the moment you buy, which affects the usual cancellation right for bespoke digital work. The exact position — and what happens if something goes wrong at our end — is set out in our Terms & refund policy. If a reading doesn’t arrive as described, write to us and we’ll put it right.

Is this fortune-telling?

No. A Blueprint describes patterns, tendencies and timing as these traditions understand them, so you can make your own choices. It is guidance for fun and reflection, not fixed prediction, and we never guarantee an outcome. Nothing in it replaces medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

You know each other. This is knowing what you’re like together.

Eight short chapters on your chemistry, your repeat argument, what to book and what to never book — from two birth moments and a spice setting of your choosing.
