Terms & Refunds
Plain English. Last updated 10 August 2026.
There are two ways to buy LifeLight, and the rules are not identical. On this website you buy from us and pay through Stripe. In the LifeLight iOS app you buy through Apple In-App Purchase, Apple takes the payment, and Apple — not us — issues refunds. Wherever the two differ, both are spelled out below. Neither is a subscription.
1. Who we are
LifeLight is a product of MoreBetter Studios, a trading name of a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected]. These terms apply whenever you buy a reading from us — on lifelight.app or in the LifeLight iOS app.
Trading as MoreBetterStudios is Pramod Botlagudur, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Address: Unit 170704, Courier Point, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole, Dorset, BH16 6FH, United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected]
2. What LifeLight is — and what it isn't
LifeLight builds a chart from your exact birth moment using a proprietary engine drawn from ancient eastern traditions, and turns it into a written reading. It is offered for guidance, reflection and self-understanding.
It is not fortune-telling, and not a prediction. We do not guarantee any outcome. It is not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice, and you should not make medical, legal or financial decisions on the basis of a reading alone. Spark is for entertainment (18+) and is never a judgement of any real person.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to buy from us, on the website or in the app.
4. Two ways to buy — and who takes your money
On this website
You buy directly from us. Payment is taken by Stripe before your reading is generated; we never see or store your card number. Your order is accepted when payment succeeds.
In the iOS app
Every purchase in the app is an Apple In-App Purchase, charged by Apple to your Apple Account using whatever payment method you hold there. Stripe is not involved, we never see your card, and no payment page of ours appears. Apple hands the app a signed receipt for the purchase, and our server verifies that receipt against Apple's own signing certificates before a single word of your reading is written — so a purchase Apple has not confirmed is never fulfilled. A purchase made in the app is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions, which govern the payment itself.
Which set of rules applies to you is simply where you pressed Buy. A reading bought in the app and a reading bought on the website are the same reading, produced by the same engine.
5. Prices, tax and delivery charges
On this website, prices are shown in US dollars and are the total amount you pay.
In the iOS app, the price comes from Apple's App Store pricing and is shown to you in your own currency, by Apple, on the confirmation sheet at the moment you buy. That figure is what Apple charges, including any tax Apple collects and shows you at the point of purchase. Because Apple sets local pricing, the app price and the website price for the same reading will not always convert to exactly the same number.
There are no delivery charges either way — your reading is delivered electronically and immediately. MoreBetter Studios is not currently VAT-registered, so we add no VAT to a website purchase. Depending on where you live, your own country may apply its own taxes to a website purchase; anything of that kind is your responsibility.
6. Delivery
Your reading is generated immediately after payment, shown on screen, and emailed to you as a PDF. On the website it is also saved to your account so you can revisit it. In the app it is additionally saved on your own phone so you can reopen it offline. See our Privacy Policy for how long we keep it and how to delete it.
7. Nothing we sell is a subscription
Every LifeLight product is a one-off purchase. There is no recurring charge, no renewal date, no free trial that turns into a payment, and nothing to cancel.
In the app, all five items are Apple Consumable in-app purchases — the four Blueprints (Life, Family, Wardrobe, Couples) and the Spark pack of 20 checks. A Blueprint delivers one freshly generated reading. Spark is a credit pack, not a plan: you buy 20 checks, spend them one at a time, and when they run out nothing happens automatically — you buy another pack, or you don't. Because they are Consumables you can buy any of them again whenever you like; there is nothing to restore and nothing running in the background.
8. Cancellation and refunds — bought on this website
For digital content, UK law normally gives you 14 days to change your mind. Because your reading is created for you and delivered instantly, at checkout you tick a box asking us to begin straight away and acknowledging that you therefore lose that 14-day right to cancel once the reading has been generated. We record that you did so, with a timestamp, against your order. This is the standard position for immediately-delivered digital content.
That said, we want you treated fairly. If something goes wrong — your reading fails to generate, never arrives, or is plainly not what was described — email us and we'll re-send it or refund you. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described; if a reading you paid for never arrives or does not match what was described, you are entitled to have it put right and, where that is not possible, to a refund. We don't refund simply because you disagree with what a reading says, as the product was delivered as described.
9. Refunds — bought in the iOS app
We cannot refund an App Store purchase, because we never received the money — Apple did. Refunds for anything bought inside the app are requested from, and decided by, Apple. There is no button we can press at our end.
How to ask Apple:
• Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, choose the LifeLight purchase, and select Request a refund.
• Or, on your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History, tap the purchase, then Report a Problem.
Apple decides the outcome, under its own terms and its own timescales. If Apple has already refunded or revoked a purchase, our server will not fulfil it — a refunded receipt is rejected at verification and cannot be used to generate a reading afterwards.
Tell us as well, especially if the problem is delivery. If your reading didn't arrive, arrived broken, or your Spark credits didn't appear, email [email protected] — we will re-generate or re-send it at no cost, which is usually much faster than a refund. Your rights over the digital content itself under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described — are not taken away by the fact that Apple took the payment.
10. Your reading, and our engine
The reading we produce is yours — keep it, print it, share it. What remains ours is the LifeLight name, this site, the app, and the engine and method that produce readings; you may not copy, resell, or build a competing service from them.
11. Your account, your data, and deleting it
Your LifeLight account is keyed on your email address. In the app you can delete your account yourself, at any time, from Settings — you do not have to ask us, and you do not have to wait for a reply. On the website you can delete any saved reading from My Readings. What gets deleted, what we have to keep for tax and accounting, and what the app stores on your own phone are all set out in the Privacy Policy.
12. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep LifeLight available and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to the amount paid for the reading in question — whether that was paid to us or to Apple.
13. Complaints
Email [email protected] and we'll respond. We aim to resolve everything directly and fairly. For a complaint about the payment for an App Store purchase — a charge you don't recognise, or a refund Apple has declined — that decision sits with Apple, so raise it there first; we will still help with anything about the reading itself.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the benefit of your local mandatory consumer protections.
15. Changes
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published when you buy.
